Hi! My name is Tessa Dimnik and I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP).
Getting to the therapy room can be a challenging thing to do. That is why a main focus of mine is to create an environment of authenticity and empathy - this means that you are going to see me for who I am and I hope this encourages you to be comfortable being you!
My approach to therapy sits within ‘person-centred’ and I use tools, tips, and techniques from other approaches such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), Solution-Focused Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and Emotion-Focused Therapy.
